With the support of technical expertise from the Lloyd’s Register Group and BMT, NSASS can author rules, standards, codes and guidance documents.
Where appropriate, NSASS will write proposals for consideration and monitor their progress towards approval, for the following:

- Naval Ship Code
- Defence Standards
